like baking soda and vinegar

while at work today i started thinking about volume. fluid ounces, cubic centimeters, you know the drill.

i decided to conduct an experiment. it went a little something like this:

-fill mouth with as much liquid as it can hold (i used water, you might consider using another liquid, like lemonade or zima)
-spit mouthful of liquid into a different container
-measure the spit-out liquid with whatever is handy (at our house this is a starbucks shot glass with one and two-ounce measurements marked for easy reference)

it turns out that my mouth holds three ounces.

to be honest, i am a bit disappointed. i had hoped for more.
