two birds

my photo teacher gave us an assignment to copy the photographic style of duane michaels. specifically, a series of five or more black and white photos that have a "dreamlike" quality to them. my idea was to pretend that i mowed the lawn. with my teeth. in a dress.

the whole process was ridiculous. i had to mow a small section of the overgrown backyard with the lawn mower, then run inside and change clothes, run out and take a few pictures, run back inside to change back, and then repeat the process. and i prayed that the neighbors wouldn't see any of this - especially pastor sylvia.

i am embarrassed by the photos. all you get is the last shot (please note the grass on my face as to create the feel of having actually mowed the lawn with my teeth).
