everlasting life

i've begun talks with the employers about travel plans. hooray!

the other day something happened that has never happened to me before. i took the twins to the coffee shop because all three of us were going crazy inside their house. what usually goes down is they run in, scatter toys and books everywhere while i order my non-caffeinated drink and biscuit, and then they eat my biscuit while i enjoy said drink. then people come in and say that they look just like me (cringe). on this occasion, however, a gentleman sat across from me with this thirteen-month-old daughter. after asking if the babies were twins, he asked if i was their nanny! and then he said that i looked too young to have twins!

oh, hooray! a cause for celebration. my wildest dreams have come true.

then there is the comic book family. the dad who writes comic books also writes novels which apparently do rather well. this summer when i went to the beach with them for the weekend, greg told me that he named one of the characters in his latest book missi. i asked, "after me?" and he said, "of course after you!" that was flattering. and, as an added bonus, i have been immortalized in text.
